Spring is fast approaching. Looking for some fun things to do outside in Davis to bring in the season? IDENTITY Davis has put together a quick list of some outdoor activities to do in Davis this spring break.
Up for a hike? Get some fresh air at the Greenbelt. The Davis-Covell Greenbelt Trail offers a paved 3.4-mile trail dotted with eclectic art, landmarks, and architecture. You can ride your bike through here, as well – just be aware of the tree root bumps along the way.
Häagen-Dazs Honey Bee Haven
Looking for something a little more low key? We’ve got you covered. This outdoor museum on the UC Davis campus – located on the cheekily named Bee Biology Road – offers visitors a chance to observe bees and over 200 plant species that support them. Take a self-guided tour and catch a precious glimpse of nature in action.
UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden
Staying on campus, it’s tough to beat the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden for your outdoor retreat. Spanning the university’s more than 5,300 acres, this local icon has something for everyone, including serene gardens, wildelife, and, of course, the historic arboretum with educational signage.
IDENTITY Davis is close to so many fantastic outdoor adventures, it’s tough to limit our list to just three – but we hope this handy guide gives you a good starting point. Enjoy your spring!
